Thin foam pad for under the Fly motor pod

A "Special" Little Tip

Fly's sidewinders, like the Joest Porsche, Lola and Evo 1, are some of my favorite stock slot cars. But I'm not a big fan of slop. Give's good, but not slop. So when the motor pod screw is really loose, letting the chassis and magnet(s) ride as low as allowed, the stock car's slop really bugs me. My solution (to what might not be a problem) is to cut a small piece of thin foam sheet as shown above and put to around the post under the motor pod. This forces the pod evenly up against the screw while allowing plenty of give. Someday maybe I'll run a bunch of tests to try and see if it makes any more than psycological difference...
