Razor blades are great for cleaning your braids. You can get cheap alcohol pads from the drug store that clean tires really well.

Little pieces cut from kitchen scrub pads and some steel wool are good for cleaning axles and chassis parts. Canned Air or some such pressurized duster is really handy for getting rid of the gunk that collects inside the cars.
